Attending the Stay & Play sessions will give us opportunities to strengthen our home/ school links and for you to have a greater insight into your child’s education through a safe, informative, and supportive environment. Our Stay & Play days also aim to link education with social and health services- with a family worker and health visitor who attend these sessions which supports parents/carers to discuss any child development issues or questions you may have. We also have other agencies who attend, based on our focus of the session e.g. Consett Library who attended our Literacy focused session as well as Local Authority Movement Service who attend physical focused sessions to support parents/carers and staff in the same way.
We have Stay & Play days every term in the Early Years Foundation Stage. This has been such a success that we are now holding whole school Stay & Play days as well.

Praise Notes
We are also introducing the use of ‘Praise Notes’ across the whole school in order to celebrate achievements from home no matter how big or small. Your child might have tried new foods, had a go at a new hobby, completed swimming lessons etc. these do not have to be academic. Post your praise note in the main entrance and they will be read out and shared throughout the Friday celebration assembly. Pick one up from the main entrance or download from here.
